Halloween Jive

Welcome to RATS

Radical Arts Theatre School : a place to discover and explore the many aspects of creative theatre.

There’s always time for Tea!

October 2017 : if you go down to the woods tonight… well I don’t know what you’ll find, but if you’d been in Hundon on Friday afternoon, you might have encountered these talented monsters singing and dancing their hearts out for their Halloween Jive music video.

The focus of the 2017 Summer term, for our Monday RATS, was acting and singing for stage, as our young Rats prepared for their end of term stage production : “One Of Our Dwarfs Is Missing!“.

The Spring term focused mainly on green screen work and acting for screen, culminating with their end of term Showcase Cinema Night.

A Sunday morning in January saw the last recording session for Nobody, a short film about loneliness and friendship.

WINTER NEWS 2016 / 2017

January kicked off with a read-through of the script for the next of the personal projects : Time for Murder, a short play about time travel, conceived by two of our young Rats, which was filmed for the Cinema Showcase Night at the end of March.

dscf6720Our Monday RATS sessions (2016/2017) were held at Hundon Community Primary School.

December 19th saw the performance of The Santa Snatcher (the first in a number of projects created and directed by our students), and the munching of mince pies, as we wished all our Rats and their families a very merry festive season.

What a wonderfully manic week the October halfterm was! A thoroughly crazy, very talented, young cast of young actors rehearsed and performed ‘The Greatest Halloween Panto Ever!and we filmed ‘Nobody’, a short film featuring a couple of our older Rats… (more on that soon).

We also hold Weekly RATS Sessions in Hundon, where we explore the arts of stage, screen and everything in between… and discover answers to eternal questions… such as “Which is best, Skateboard or Scales?!”

SUMMER NEWS 2016
